George has been married to Tracy for 29 years. They have attended VMC since 1991. Their children are:  Shaun (married to Amanda), and Kelly.

Tracy works as assistant to the Missions Pastor at VMC and is also the Office Manager. The Maxson's have operated a local painting company for over twenty years.

George and Tracy have been active in youth and young adult ministries, as well as serving on various other committees, boards and ministry teams. They are currently hosting a young adults small group in their home.
