The role of the Church isn't to make sure that others can just see the light shining bright from our facility. Rather, the role of the Church is to make sure the light shines in each and every home, lighting the community for the world to see! At Ventura Missionary Church, we want to equip families to bring Christ into the center of their homes.

Whether you are parenting children or living with other adults or by yourself, you can live faith at home in such a way that your home is one of those shining lights. It is essential to your growth in Christ to follow these principles of Bible study, prayer and worship in your home, and the outflow of these things will impact others.

Statistics show that parents are 2 to 3 times more influential than any church program. Search Institute conducted a nationwide survey of more than 11,000 participants from 561 congregations across six different denominations and found this:

• Twelve percent of youth have a regular dialogue with their mother on faith/life issues.
• Five percent of youth have a regular dialogue with their father on faith/life issues.
• Nine percent of youth have experienced regular reading of the Bible and devotions in the home.

So, faith must begin at home. We encourage you to view the next steps of growth and begin to practice them.  We will grow this section to include resources and ideas for both individual Bible study, prayer and worship, as well as doing these things as a family or with friends.
