An old song says, "They'll know we are Christians by our love." We are called to make a difference in the world we live in. Christ describes us as, "the light of the world" in Matthew 5:14. Light brings warmth and clarity in an otherwise dark world. Light exposes the truth. We want others to find the truth we have and most often they will see the truth by what we say only as much as it lines up with what we do. If others are hurting or in need and we do nothing, how can we expect them to believe what we say? In Matthew 25, Jesus talks about the importance of helping those in need. We can reach out to our neighbors and our community as well as people around the world.
