To know who you are in relation to God and to understand who Jesus is and what He did for you is not enough. You must make a decision to accept the gift of salvation that Jesus made possible. By accepting this gift you are forgiven of all your sins and will have a home in heaven for all eternity. One of the most often quoted verses from the Bible is John 3:16. This is because this verse so beautifully explains the gift of salvation, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."  

You can begin a relationship with Jesus by telling Him you believe and accept what He did for you. This step can be taken through a simple prayer, spoken from the heart. It could go something like this:

"Dear Jesus: I know that I have sinned. Please forgive me. Thank You for dying in my place. I accept Your gift of salvation."
