"A TrashCan Can Make a Difference!" For most of us, the trashcan is where we
collect our...trash. But for many, the trashcan represents a hope for food. In the
spirit of Leviticus 23:22, where the leftover crops at the edges of farmers' fields
were left for the poor, we've reclaimed the trashcan as a symbol of hope and
compassion, as well as a visual reminder of our responsibility to care for our
under-resourced neighbors.
Through this collaborative collection effort we are able to support the ongoing
charity work done by Project Understanding. Bring your donations to the
trashcans in the VMC Lobby or deliver directly to Project Understanding.
