VMC is partnering with the County of Ventura to inform our community of ways they can help the Foster Care system.

In 2008, there were 8,876 reports of child abuse and/or neglect. This resulted in 355 children being removed from unsafe environments. There are currently 187 foster homes in Ventura County. Because children in these situations are already traumatized, it is extremely beneficial to them to remain in their own school districts and to live with their siblings in foster care. This is often not possible.

Ventura Missionary Church will be hosting an informational meeting on May 2 (9 a.m.-11 a.m.), as well as training meetings in the weeks that follow. Pre-registration is requested for the Informational Meet. Call (805) 654-3456 to register.
