We believe God calls out certain people for full-time, professional ministry. Some are called as pastors, some as evangelists and some as missionaries. We believe that serving as a missionary is a high and special calling and that the Church is to support those from the Body called to this ministry in every way we can. That is one of the reasons we refer to VMC members called to fulltime missions service as our "international staff."

We also believe that as a body of believers richly blessed, we have a responsibility to support the global Church's mission work. At VMC we do so by actively supporting our Denomination's mission program (World Partners) and by actively supporting a unique ministry that helps meet the security needs of missionaries (Crisis Consulting International).
